Rheum alexandrae

I have been trawling the net for suitable plants to grow in a new boggy area I've created and came across this oddity. I've never grown it before and I don't think I've ever seen it before so I took a punt and bought one (with a few other bog plants) from Ballyrobert nursery.
Has anyone grown it?

By reputation it is tricky but much easier than the fabled Rheum nobile.

Another one for the mythical 'damp but well drained' soil?

Yes, I was beginning to get the picture.
It may be short lived but I'll give it a try. I have got well drained soil and it is damp for a few hours after it has rained so it will be happy some of the time.
