Columbia's rare fauna and flora

If you haven't already spotted this article on the BBC website check it out https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-52948635. One of the picture is of a humming bird visiting a Tithonia flower, wish mine would get such exotic visitors.

Super photos of the birds, however they looked staged to me, the insects in the beak looked like nesting material, and I noticed some of the perching branches had had the ends cut. I could be wrong of course but as an avid wild life photographer I doubt it. :lol: Regardless of that I would like them in my garden as well. I have only ever seen humming birds in the wild in Mexico.

Seeing Humming birds in the wild is not to hard in the right place but photographing the little blighters is another matter!

Santa Cruz Botanic garden California, they are year round residents there.
Friend of mine who I knew from my sea going days keeps birds as his retirement hobby, it appears you could have them here but year round food would have to be from sugar feeders
