Re: How is your weather?
Ah, leaving the washing out. A person after my own heart. A few years ago I treated myself to a large veranda which runs the whole side of the house with the intention of growing under it tenderish plants and overwintering plants. It’s linked to my garage and has a wall at the other end, in effect making it an enclosed courtyard. It suits the intended purpose admirably with passion flowers, lapageria, agaves and other things which need a bit of help. HOWEVER!!! My wife suggested it might make a good area for drying washing  It now has 8 washing lines strung across  and the aesthetics have been muddied by strings of washing every day obliterating views of my lovely plants. On the upside, I haven’t used the tumble drier in about 5 years!

42mm rain here over the last 24 hours, most welcome. All the water butts full again and a blue sky this morning, also welcome.

External thermal insulation panels for the house.
With a new roof and those fitted I look forward to a dry and warm winter.

According to The Met Office I average 1250 to 1500 mm of precipation in a year. Are you, Paul, in 'the black bit' at <600 mm?
