Tregrehan Plant fair 20th August?

Post by Paul S »

I'm guessing if anyone will know you fellas will, 'beens as how' you will have stalls there. Tregrehan website says as of 17th August the fair is still scheduled to go ahead on 20th Sept. Can you confirm or deny, as they say in the best US dramas? :D

Tremenheere Sunday 6th Sept.

'Yes we are going ahead.
I am asking for distancing, hand sanitising and face coverings.
All according to safety guidelines.
Extended hours: starting at 9 am - 3pm.'

I'll post about Tregrehan once I know.

Thanks Chad. For some reason I thought the Tremenheere fair was the day before the Tregrehan one!

From Tom at Tregrehan;

'Yes the plant fair is still scheduled.

I will email the nurseries this weekend and confirm who is coming in due course.

Refreshments will be limited but the garden will be open at the discounted rate of a £5.00 as usual.

Bleddyn and Sue are planning on heading south.

ALL updates and any last minute changes to the schedule etc will be posted on the http://www.tregrehangarden.uk website under the VISITS header.'

I'm 'shielding' someone with an immune deficiency in my 'bubble' so I wont be able to go though.

This is being a very long year, starting with losing my job.

An update on Tregrehan for 20 Sept 2020, copied and pasted from The Tregrehan Web Site.

Update Thursday 10th of September
Having reviewed the latest Government Guidelines on social events the Tregrehan Garden Plant Fair is still scheduled for Sunday 20th of September.

The latest Government directives mainly affect Social Events. But we will require all visitors to give their name, and phone contact number when arriving on site in case of any future track and trace issues. And also please would people not gather in groups of more than six and respect current Social Distancing guidelines when on site.

All stallholders will have more room to show their goodies, but I’m afraid there will be no catering on site this year so bring a deckchair and a picnic to have in the carpark where there is plenty of room.

The garden will also be open as usual for the reduced rate of £5:00 pp.

There will be a great array for plants on show as usual and many plants that are unobtainable elsewhere in the UK for the serious chlorophylled up geeks.

Please note that there will be no admissions before 10:00 o’clock.

Many traders will have a contactless payment system but it is also worth bringing along cash for the others and for the garden entry.

There will be another post next week with a short list of some of the plants that Tregrehan Nursery will be offering.

IMPORTANT: Dont forget the mask and the hand cleaner.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone.

Tom and Jo Hudson.

That is very good. I will be travelling down in any case, but nice to know the plant fair 'should' be going ahead.
