Rudbeckia flowering question
I'm not exactly pushing the borders by growing Rudbeckia 'Goldsturm' but I wanted some perennials for late summer colour and have always liked Cone flowers. I sowed the seed in late February and the plants are now in 9cm pots ready to be planted out. Do you think they will flower this year?

Re: Rudbeckia flowering question
I used to do this to sell 35 years ago but I seem to recall that you can't do it from seed, you will get nice plants - just not Goldsturm we had to split the clumps. and yes from seed you will get some flowers this year

Re: Rudbeckia flowering question
The seed came from Chilterns and were advertised as Rudbeckia fulgida 'Goldsturm', it will be disappointing if they don't come true, time will tell.
