Tigridia orthantha

This is my third time trying to grow this.

It didn't flower last year, but has now got 5 'noses' and one flower spike.

I'm hopeful I may not kill it so quickly this time!

Glorious weather at present

This Hydrangea cross is a bit shy flowering but is definitely different to most of the other climbing sorts. starts off a goo strong pink

Lovely bit of evening sunshine, Liz says she has been eating the grapes from this Vitis pururea (off the for sale plants in the poly tunnel) but outdoors they are still too sharp for me

Keep meaning to cut back this Quince in the foreground (it gets pear blight) so it doesn't obscure the late summer show from the Boston Ivy but as you can see I didn't get around to it :)

Weather the last couple of days has been awful, been hiding inside mostly but a couple of things are managing to look OK

Lots of pictures of Cobaea pringlei just to give some idea of the range of this, every year it goes berserk! there are 3 apple trees, my Bomarea wigwam and a greenhouse under that lot

Ok its just a yellow Clematis but I always think its one that lives up to its name 'Last Dance' because although like most of the yellows it starts flowering in July it is always at its best at this time of year

One of the very few Canna I bother with these days, really must get them reppotted this winter! I do also have them in the ground but the season in flower is much shorter although the plants are often happier looking.

Last two of the gingers to get there this year, was pleased with all mine this year until I went over to my sons place where the lumps I have given him are looking spectacular!

Back from a couple of weeks on Madeira - What have you done to the Weather? :!: Managed to get the grass cut between showers but that is about it for the moment.

Deeply impressed with this lycianthes , it was in flower in my first post on this thread back in January. I have had it for years and realise now that the savagely hard pruning I used to give it was not a good idea as it never flowered very well!

I have become rather fond of this, just waiting to see how it copes with this winter out, Its a stronger colour than C pavonii and I suspect tougher!
