This appeared in our local news last week. Described as “rare” although admittedly they are very rarely seen in gardens this far north and inland and even rarer to see one in flower. Magnificent sight when in bloom, though in equal measures sad. I wonder if she will be attempting to propagate from it?
My agaves are now too big for me to overwinter comfortably so I contacted the Dorothy Clive Garden following a visit to a Plant Hunter Fair there last week and they have agreed to have them from me for their arid house. It’s a relief they will be going to a good home and I guess I will be able to visit and see them.
