We’ve had one of the hottest summers here Stan, though to me it hasn’t felt like it! Many gardens I’ve visited however have looked parched. Even so, good to see you posting again. Your posts always bring a bit of Californian glamour and sunshine to these shores. Judging by the enormous number of visits on the recent ovatifolia, mangave and Oxford posts, I’m guessing lots of our American friends have looked in on the forum. Pity some of them don’t register on here. It would be interesting to see more overseas gardens.

They are a required part of life aren't they?..I decided a good deal would be a Walmart refurbished pc. I hope it lasts.

Hey Stan, I can sympathize with the computer problems. All my machines are now 10+ years old, so I had a crisis due to software update issues. Enter Linux, a stop-gap solution, but doable. Budget just won't allow for more a the moment.

That H. squarossa is fantastic! Great growing. Ditto all the bromeliads. I personally think the yucca wins - that thing is massive. You must be the talk of the town by passersby. Folks used to look into my yard and say, "it looks like a jungle in there!"

Hey Stan,
Long time no see! I had just asked Tom about your whereabouts. Any sign of David Feix? Your garden looks fantastic as always. Love the Howea. It's another sweltering summer in Japan but at least it's been raining regularly where Ilive.
