Cupressus sempervirens ‘Blue Sky‘

Post by Andrew in Germany »

Picked up a small one of these too at the ‘local’ garden center, which had a good selection of them in a range to suit most pocket books. I bought small, because.

I seem to remember they needed some seasonal trimming to keep them looking youthfully penciled. That is if it can withstand the winters here. Not sure about the claim of -10c on the label.

Looks lovely there. Very Mediterranean ! Just the spot for it and easy to fleece if temperatures are predicted very low. The bog standard sempervirens will easily take -10 but don’t know about this cultivar. In my last garden I had lots of conifers and really miss them! Good luck with it.

Now what you need to do is get a nice Agapanthus (now you are trying them) in that lovely pot beside it! Would look fab.

Ahh! You’re right, that’s what I’m going to do. Thanks for the idea :D
