I think Roi is french for King?
Canna 'Red King Humbert' is the well known one, could the Roi be a form of?

I'm intrigued to know what your 'collection' of Cannas consists of. I lost mine back in the virus wave and have been very tentative in replacing them.

I believe they are the same plant - 'Red King Humbert' = 'Roi Humbert' and I think 'Roi Humbert' is the name used at the moment. Not sure what var. Q is, though.

My current vars are,X ehemanii,President,Golden Orb,Australia,Pretoria,Durban,General Eisenhower, and Shenandoah.I have Roi Humbert and Wyoming on order.
I also lost my original stock to virus and gave up growing Cannas for many years till i found a good source IMO.I bought stock and have been growing from these plants for about five years now.The Roi Humbert and Wyoming are from a different source that i am trusting are clean. It is a tricky one but i have been lucky so far (i Hope).
