Here's Hippeastrum cybister "Chico" in bloom. For some reason it died back in the spring rather than blooming but has decided to bloom now instead.......................

There is something slightly sinister about that Hippeastrum flower :)
My Clerodendrum t6richotomum is in flower and producing a heady scent. Hedychium densiflorum 'Stephen' poking through.

Yes, it does produce a few suckers, some up to 2M from the parent plant but they are very easy to dispose of or pot up to make new plants.

Unfortunately this Mountain papaya plant is only producing male flowers, still impressive at 8ft tall.

Andy - that Cautleya looks spectacular! I assume that you find it hardy from that photo?

The Cautleya is hardy here. The original was planted in quite heavy shade about 8 or 9 years ago and had a tendency to produce stems that grow almost horizontally to reach more light so I split it up and moved it last year to a couple of partially shaded sites where it stands more upright. It is even quite tolerant of poor dry soil.
