Cylindropuntia imbricata First flowering

I found a little piece of this growing in a roundabout in … Canada. Cylindropuntia viridiflora managed to make it home with me and was planted out in 2013. It’s taken this long to get to this stage of its life. However no winter damage ever. One of the best garden exotics, never needing a second thought, except when I accidentally brushed by the thorns and needed the pliers to remove them.
But it’s flowering, I’m very happy.

Lovely to see. Are you sure it isn't C. imbricata?

Im an amateur at names, not sure at all. Would gladly call it by its correct name. :D
I’ve just looked up the 2 , and I think you’re quite right Paul.
