Acanthus eminens
I tried to just add this to the title of my thread on Rostinucula to avoid repeat questions but it wouldn't allow me to (or I couldn't see how!). Anyway, Botanico have these to pre-order but I don't want to waste money on a no-goer. Does anyone know if this would survive in a pot in the greenhouse kept just above freezing in the winter?

Re: Acanthus eminens
It survived, potted, in the unheated polytunnel seeing -4C briefly.
It is huge, flowers in the spring on old wood.
I lost it in the winter when there wasn't a cover on the tunnel, and although I enjoyed it while I had it, I won't be replacing it.
Huge, very prickly and a short flowering season.

Thank you Chad. I think I will give that a miss. On the net the flowers looked a stunning colour which attracted me. Even with my severe colour blindness it looked vibrant, but I don’t have that kind of available space.
