This far inland it has been lousy. My Hedychium didn't even show until July.
Salvia urica has really struggled to do well this year............
Salvia SL411 has all the makings of a good tender Salvia but bloom wise it is struggling too. Cool days, lack of sunshine and the even cooler nights of this summer don't seem to have agreed with it................
The same goes for Sesbania puniceus. These are the first blooms of the year.................
Strangely despite the cool summer Lantana camara has continued to flower really well ever since late May even though it has been outdoors.............

The Canna paniculata that I grew from seed have done well though. The one that I grew in pure horse shino was in bloom by June, this one is the last to bloom and is growing in ordinary MPC. All have been fed regularly................
