Chad - no arrogance was perceived, just the opportunity for a bit of fun. The growing in the UK bit pushed me a bit.

So..............
1] Sold to me as A.nelsonii I did question it on another forum. A New York bulb collector confirmed that his SA collected bulb lost a lot of colouration grown so far north so I'm happy with the id. A great big brute of a bulb!
2] Spot on. A lovely wee hardy'ish thing that deserves more recognition IMO. Self seeds like boogery here!
3] The latin name describes this Mexican Salvias creeping habit. Great colour, but as a plant I was somewhat underwhelmed by the lack of flowers.
4] It is a South African orchid.

5] The first time I saw this Cubanola it was more creamy white. Same plant so I can't explain the yellow blooms! Mine is sooooo slow growing.
