My Clerodendrum is only just starting to leaf up after taking a handful of frosts.

Bugmansia sanguinea has been outdoors for a couple of months now and is finally blooming......................


Chuffed with this - a seed grown Campanula thyrsoides..................

Flavour of the week here is Brimeura amethystina.................

A couple of plants that were planted out last summer survived the (mild) winter;

Iochroma australis.................


Solanum rantonnetii....................


The white form of Sollya heterophylla was outdoors in a pot all winter...............

I used to do really well with Solanum rantonnetii I must try and rescue it as it hasn't been good for a few years now!

A few ferny pictures. I lost my two tree ferns over the winter of 2010 and haven't had the cash to replace them. There are more than enough nice ground ferns to make up for them.

The Woodwardia orientalis is planted a bit too close to Athyrium niponicum so the latter gets a bit swamped.

Lovely ferns there Andy.

A rather nice combo going on at the moment here is the Schisandra rubriflora, montana Margorie (Which I don't normally like much!) and a Solanum crispum

I'm rather smitten with that Schisandra rubriflora! How hardy is it?

I hate to say this, but Thompson and Morgan produced a winner in Digitalis Illumination Pink.................


It enjoyed the mild winter.................


And no, I didn't pay the bonkers money that they were asking for it as it was a bargain bin purchase.

Tibouchina urvilleana - has been flowering sporadically for a while.


Thunbergia battiscombei. I think its a superb colour that even beats Tibouchina.


Caladium bicolour.


A yellow Mandevilla


Scutellaria costericana. I have read someone in this country saying that if you keep the temperature above 15C it will flower for 10 months of the year. I do hope so.


Asclepias curassavica.


Arisaema speciosum.


Pachystachys lutea - I think its now a Justicia.

I am interested to hear about Clerodendron just starting to leaf up. I bought C. thomsonae (for 45p) and C. wallichii (for little more) in January in full leaf. I kept them inside the house, and within days they had lost all their leaves. I thought they were a gonner and that I had overpaid. :lol: But I have just noticed that in the last few days they also have started to leaf up.

Some lovely things there Peter, I think your yellow mandevilla is an Allamandda , probably cathartica, but my only real experience with them is in killing them!
