Ageratum corymbosum is a handsome plant, especially in flower. It isn't reputed to be especially hardy, what are you expecting?
My only 'planned' incoming is Roldana petasitis which I'm hoping to collect from Nick Lock at the Tregrehan plant fail on Sunday next.

Roldana petasites is stem hardy here, lovely thing.

My incoming plants are, from Brighton Plants, Lobelia laxiflora ssp angustifolia, which I have never got around to trying but now have the space and perfect spot accompanying some other brightly flowered things. Plus Cynara cardunculus ssp flavescens, which I am rather excited about. Saw this on hols in Cyprus, it is smaller than regular cardoon and much spinier with, to my eyes, that certain 'je ne sais quoi'. A superior thistle IMO.

And I am looking forward to a visit next weekend from Darren Hobbs who is making a rare trip east from Wales. Firstly because he is a lovely fella and it is always a pleasure to see him, secondly because he is bringing me his 'spare' Cycas panzhihuaensis :)

I've grown Lobelia laxiflors ssp angustifolia here and in our old garden. It spreads well, or should i say, moves araound a bit, so I hope it stays in the 'perfect spot' for you. It also becomes quite a difficult clump to keep weed free here.

Its a stock plant to use for cuttings.I grow a range of tender perennials for summer colour in pots or planted out from June to add interest to borders. It will be overwintered in an unheated poly house.Plants are fleeced in very cold weather. The structure was put up as a lean to against a wall. There used to be greenhouses with peaches in them.As they became unsafe they were taken down and the lean to poly house was born. ;)

Ageratum petiolatum in pots have flowered year round in there.A pot grown Dahlia imperialis flowered in there late last year with the extra protection.

I have finally given up on the Ageratum corymbosum.Very few flowers on any plants that i grew and mostly green foliage.I understood that foliage would take on a darker colour as they grew and had plenty of sun.
Recent deliveries have been the previously mentioned Lantana Miss Huff.Bougainvillea Barbara Karst.Heliotrope Chatsworth.Sollya heterophylla, and a range of Pelargoniums.Unique,Decorative and Angel vars.
